Gold Rush Days 2010

We had a great time at Gold Rush in Dahlonega, Ga.
It was perfect weather. Thank you to all of our supporters who came back and to all the new friends we have made.

We love North Ga and hope to live there some day.

All of our fellow vendors are in our thoughts and prayers. It is a hard job.
We found out that two vendors have gotten Cancer since we last met and you are in our prayers.

Jeff is busy trying to catch up from 2 three days shows in one month.

See you at First Saturday on Riverstreet November 6th.

Barrel Delivery

Wow we got shipment of Barrels in and it is always a thrill to see what shape they are in. What type of barrels we are getting. What Coopers built the barrels and what type of wine was stored in them.
We order them from a broker in California and it takes the truck driver 5 days to get to Georgia.

We open the door and immediately we can smell the strong smell of wine.

As usual Jeff has a plan of how to organize this task as smoothly as possible.

We have a team Jeffs brother David, our daughter Dana, Jeff and I the truck driver helped and a friend of ours Jeff also helped.

We unloaded 217 barrels some of them were soaked in wine and were just emptied before being shipped. We were happy with the shipment we did not get the variety of coopers that we had on the last delivery but they were mainly red wine barrels so they will make great pieces.
